The Abilene Independent School District provides a hands-on Video Production/Media class for students at Abilene High School and Cooper High School.




These ten talented students have learned how to use a camera on a tripod and on shoulder.



They are also working side-by-side with AISD-TV with slo-motion replay, graphics and commercials in a broadcast setting.


Shotwell Stadium provides the backdrop, and the students account for a majority of the footage for LIVE pictures and instant replay on the Scoreboard.


The Scoreboard is 14' x 26', and is the largest screen for any high school football stadium in Texas.

The Scoreboard was purchased through sponsorships.

All of those sponsor logos are prominently displayed around the scoreboard.

Throughout the year the students also work in class on editing, interview techniques, and story creation.

Features are then produced and broadcast.

This is a terrific program provided by the Abilene Independent School District.
